Effective Monday, November 8, 2021, at 8:30 am, all County Offices will be open to the public. Masks are required for entry.
August 27, 2021
All Mecklenburg County Administrator's Offices, the Treasurer's Office, and the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office are closed to the public effective 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, and will remain so until further notice. If you have any business to be conducted with a County Department, you are advised to call (434)738-6191 and speak to the department in question. A dropbox is located at select doors for you to leave any written information, forms, permits, etc.

Effective Monday, April 19, 2021, at 8:30 am, all County Offices will be open to the public. Masks are required for entry. If you do not have on a mask, you will not be allowed entry and service will be refused.
March 1, 2021
Effective Wednesday, March 3, 2021, all Mecklenburg County Public Libraries will be open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Warming and Charging Centers for those with medical equipment in need of power or charging, warming, and charging communications devices for Friday, February 19, 2021:
Mecklenburg County Emergency Services Partners (Town of Clarksville, Southside Rescue Squad, Chase City Rescue Squad, and Mecklenburg County Social Services) will host convenience centers for the powering and charging of medical equipment for those in need and warming and charging communications devices at the following locations on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 10 am to 4 pm:
- Clarksville Community Center (or an alternate site to be decided)
103 Woodland Drive
Clarksville, VA 23927 - Southside Rescue Squad Bingo Hall
810 W Atlantic Street
South Hill, VA 23970 - Chase City Rescue Squad Bingo Hall (or an alternate site to be decided)
335 Mecklenburg Drive
Chase City, VA 23924
There will be no food provided. The hours of operation will be 10 am to 4 pm. You may stay as long as needed, dependent upon the ability to properly social-distance and allowing others to cycle through. No pets allowed.
Please wear your mask and bring any necessary medications or medical apparatus.

All Mecklenburg County Libraries are closed to the public at this time. We will continue to offer curbside pickup at all locations. The Wi-Fi is also available to the public at all locations. You do not need a password or a library card. Simply stop by any of the four branches to access the internet from their parking lot. If you have any questions, please call your local branch:

Due to the number of active COVID-19 cases in Mecklenburg County, the Board of Supervisors' next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 11, 2021, at 9 am, will be closed to the public. If you have public comments that you want the Board to consider, submit those in writing via email by Sunday, January 10, 2021, at noon. Please provide your first and last name, address, and phone number.
